The information in this booklet is intended to help victims of crime in New Brunswick understand how to file a complaint with the appropriate agency or department if they feel their rights were violated as they navigated the criminal justice process. Since victims may deal with several different provincial and federal criminal justice agencies, each with its own complaints process, knowing how and where to make a complaint can be confusing.

This booklet sets out the internal complaint mechanisms of the departments responsible for:

- Reviewing complaints

- Making recommendations to correct rights violations

- Letting victims know about the outcome of the review
